ACWC Members (2007-2008)

All Members will received a full version of our newsletter, will be listed in our directory and have website privileges to have their biographical information displayed, as well as their works added to our searchable database.

The ACWC/AFCC is divided into four categories of membership - for full requirements see below:

1.  ACTIVE $40/year*
(Woman composer, Canadian citizen or landed immigrant, voter)

2.  COMPOSER-IN-TRAINING/Student $25/year*
(Woman composer enrolled in a study programme, non-voter)

3.  AFFILIATE $35/year*
(Non-Canadian woman composer, non-voter)

4.  ASSOCIATE $35/year*
(Individual supporter/organization, non-voter)

Applications/Nominations will be considered based on the requirements listed below:

(1) ACTIVE - established Canadian composer.

To qualify, one must be a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant who is seriously involved in composing works for a variety of instruments and media. Scores and tapes (if possible) of at least two pieces should be submitted, as well as a complete resumes and composition list including performances and any publications or recordings. Voting privileges.

(2) COMPOSER-IN-TRAINING - composer who is working toward professional status either independently or through a study program.

Scores and tapes (if possible) of at least two pieces should be submitted, as well as a complete resume and composition fist including performances and any publications or recordings. No voting privileges.

(3) AFFILIATE - established non-Canadian composer.

Scores and tapes (if possible) of at least two pieces should be submitted, as well as a complete resume and composition list including performances and any publications or recordings. No voting privileges.

(4) ASSOCIATE
a) Individual - a woman who is not a composer but is interested in supporting the ACWC. No voting privileges.

b) Institutional - an organization who is interested in supporting the ACWC. No voting privileges.
